Wangan Wednesday Vol. 14

BATTLE STAGE

This week, we’re taking Wangan Wednesday back into the mountains.

With King of the Mountain now live, clubs across HCS can claim territory, establish their home courses, set the rules and defend their roads. So for WW14, we’re leaning all the way into the thing that inspired it.

Initial D night.

Bring a replica of your favorite Initial D car, or build something that looks like it could have belonged there. AE86, FC, FD, R32, Evos, Civics, Sil80s, or just a properly built Japanese street car from the era. Perfect replicas aren’t required. Have fun with it.

We’ll meet up, cruise into the mountains, stop for photos and visit several club-controlled territories along the way.

Once we’re there, the home club calls the shots.

Their mountain. Their course. Their rules.

Expect touge runs, 1v1 callouts and plenty of time parked on the side of a mountain watching somebody discover that they absolutely did not need to brake that late.

CARS

Initial D replicas encouraged.

Otherwise, bring something that fits the spirit of the night: Japanese street and touge cars, preferably from the 80s through early 2000s.

Bring more than one car if you want. Different mountains may mean different rules.

THE PLAN

Cruise → Photos → Enter Club Territory → Touge Battles → Move On

No giant formal tournament. No complicated bracket.

We’re going driving, visiting some home courses and seeing what happens when HCS clubs actually get to defend their mountains.

Enter their territory… race by their rules.
